SOME OF OUR WORK

We have worked with a range of clients to help them understand the condition of their lift installations, improve performance and deliver refurbishment or replacement works effectively.

The examples below highlight the types of challenges we address and the outcomes we help our clients achieve.

Hydraulic Lift Replacement

Sector: Residential

We surveyed an obsolete hydraulic passenger lift that was past its expected useful economic lifespan, but had a low failure rate.

Due to the low callout rate, the client believed it to be of low priority. However, due to a major fault being possible with no direct repair solution, we recommended modernisation or replacement.

Old Dim Lift Car

The original lift was dim inside, and did not comply with code standards..

The lift shaft was not painted or bright to help prolong equipment lifespan, and the pit was not sealed or clean.

We were engaged to produce a performance Specification and issue to the market for tendering. Following the resulting tender analysis, a contractor was appointed and we project managed the works through to Handover and Completion.

We also performed the role of CDM Principal Designer.

The new lift installation provided full compliance to current code standards, plus a 20-year expected lifespan.

The new lift was bright and code compliant

The lift shaft became a bright, safe working environment for engineers and inspectors.

The running costs of the new lift were far lower than those of the original lift, as were the new annual maintenance costs.
